Our History
Alstra is founded
The Alstra name first appears in the electrical wholesaling industry, established by the Grainger family.
We settle in Thornton
Our wholesale operation moves to Thornton, originally specialising in spares for hot water systems.
Still growing, still local
Now trading in person and online, serving customers right across Australia from our Thornton base.
From humble beginnings, Alstra has grown into a well-respected and valued wholesaler in the Hunter region. Our personal touch is what keeps customers coming back, and we strive to find a result or solution for whatever project or enquiry comes our way.
We've continued building on the unique level of service that got us here, stocking specialised products our customers need and that can be hard to find elsewhere.
